Cape St. Mary's Ecological Reserve is at the very southern tip of the Avalon Peninsula in Newfoundland. The Cape sea cliffs drop 400 feet to waves persistently pounding the rock below. It is known for a variety of birds, but in September, it is covered with Gannets. You can hear them from a distance of more than a kilometer.
