This image is of Chesterman Bay out to the Pacific Ocean from the west shore of Vancouver Island. A moderate surf detracted from the serenity of the image, so a long shutter time was used to remove the chaotic water motion. The extent of the surf can be judged by the width of the white area surrounding the rocks in the medium foreground. The long shutter time also appears to have transformed the moon into a star.
